I thought it was a reset tbh, hence I brought several superior vigors before the prices went up.

so buying 200 sup runes for 240 gp each and selling them 60k each is not a cheat? buying 200 shards for 250 gp and selling them for 3.5k is not a cheat?
what could they gain? ill tell you, fow armor, if they didnt rollback the server we would be seeing ascalon full of people wearing fow armors, which is as you know the hardest to gain armor in the game, im not even mentioning the weapons they woulds use, thus we real players who spend their hours farming for some money would be farming for nothing, spending our hours for nothing, that was a cheat and people cheated, period , thank god anet rolled the server back, just admit it was a cheat and get a relief, i wont say no more on this topic, good day everyone

i hink its a shame that some people dont have the good grace to stop exploiting what is clearly a bug. It simply destroys the economy, and in the long run simply devalues not only the items, but the game as well. Thank you ANET for the roll-back, lets keep this game what it really does very well, which is balanced.

I was at the rune trader after I had done some trading, I was looking through the list of runes, not really bought any for my character so was looking for something of use, I saw a sup vigor 250g and I bought it and then left and added it to my armor!

How in the world would I know how much something was worth a second before I bought it?

If you play on a regular basis then yes you would know the value of things, but would you know that the prices were not lowered intentionally?

Just after I had bought my sup vigor people started posting messages OMG sup vig at 250g etc.. by then I had already added it to my armor.... Am I in the wrong???? I don't think so!

OMG I managed to get a req 7 15>50 dwarven axe last night and ANET took it off me :P

Actually I'm glad they reset it, even though I did buy over 2000 shards as the economy would have just been ruined, and no it wasn't cheating it was opportunism and and plain Human nature, people who use bots cheat, people who scam cheat etc etc....

So people can step down off there moral soap boxes.

Just incase anyone has forgot THIS IS ONLY A GAME....

how very black and white of you to say so. This is one of those shades of grey areas sadly. I have never exploited/scammed or cheated in GW. To generalize and label lots of people as game exploiters is pretty lame.
to say it again. A market reset happened before why cant it happen again and SINCE the majority of the forums were down including the main site for me, there was no information to state otherwise. So get off your little soapbox of generalisations and cut some slack.

there is enough labels out there without adding more

"so buying 200 sup runes for 240 gp each and selling them 60k each is not a cheat? buying 200 shards for 250 gp and selling them for 3.5k is not a cheat?"

Sorry, im sure a possible minority of people did this but you have NO idea what the majority did nor what their intentions were. Although i am damn impressed you managed to crawl into everyones heads and work out we were all exploiting a bug. Yep we did .. damn hands slapped .. no no we couldnt possibly have bought 1 to 5 runes for our own account.. naww.. lets buy and sell sell sell. *sarcasm aura*

Me? i bought 5 runes to for my account characters. But I'm so pleased you were able to lump all of us under your convenient little flag of righteousness and wave it while taking the moral high ground. Seriously, you should consider getting involved in local politics.

Well, despite all the frustrations that people have experienced with this, at least the there is no monthly fee associated with the game.

no when they moved the old europe server thing to the new europe server, the data for the merchants did not get moved with this, therefore creating havoc with the trading prices. Gaile, when i posted the error, it must of been the time when Anet was re=rolling the servers back or when they froze the game. After reading the forums today, i realized that then was the time roughly about when we was trying to do the mission. so i gather it was just a problem that Anet was fixing.

If there existed a monthly fee, I wouldn't even be playing the game in the first place to experience such "frustrations". It's good to look on the bright side, but the matter of p2p has nothing to do with it from the beginning.

You just don't get it, do you? There has been an *intended* trader reset before (with no rollback, obviously). Therefore, we had no reason to believe we were exploiting a bug.

This has been mentioned a thousand times in this thread, but I guess reading isn't easy hmm?

Lol, everyone is acting as if Anet is doing you a favor with the game being free of monthly fee and such, among other things.

They may be nice ppl, and we all may love them for this game, but you have to remember that they still want you to buy and pklay this game. It's their job, there are no favors here, only smart thinking.

Good thing they are smart.
